About Acre Stays
Hi, I’m Akash, a software engineer turned Airbnb host. I bought my first vacation home in Oakhurst, CA as a way to unplug from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. Nestled near Yosemite, it quickly became a favorite spot to slow down, cook with friends, and go hiking -- a place to relax and recharge.
That experience inspired me to open the space to others — and later, my wife Rica and I found a second home in Dripping Springs, Texas. Set on two peaceful acres just outside Austin, it offers the same kind of reset: fresh air, open skies, and the occasional deer wandering by.
Whether you’re stargazing from a deck in the Sierras or sipping coffee in Texas Hill Country, our goal is simple — to make your stay easy, comfortable, and memorable. Rica thoughtfully designs each space to feel relaxed and welcoming, and we hope you feel right at home.

The house was spotlessly clean, and the garden was absolutely beautiful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We especially loved the selection of games available, which kept us entertained throughout our stay. And I have to say, the sofa was the most comfortable one I've ever sat on! Highly recommend.

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Located minutes from town, but far enough to enjoy the quiet and beautiful scenery. House was spacious for our group of 7, fun game room and great kitchen. Akash was a gracious and communicative host. Would stay here again.
The property was large but very quaint and comfortable. We were in town for a wedding so it was nice to return after the events and relax in the spacious and clean home. We liked sitting on the back porch and having coffee in the morning. The view was beautiful! The coffee bar was well stocked which was a treat since we are all coffee drinkers. Thanks for the great experience!
Lovely home for a Yosemite family trip. The house was very kid friendly (large family playroom) with solid furniture and nothing too breakable. The girls loved playing with the Air Hockey table and were getting pretty competitive playing all 5 pucks at the same time. The outside deck and fire pit made for some beautiful outside time. We even saw a family of deer on the property. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Overall we would definitely recommend this host and home to the next visitor.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was incredibly spacious and had everything we could possibly need and more. Every room was well furnished, from the cozy bedrooms to the comfortable living area, fully stocked kitchen, and even a fun game room! It was the perfect home base for our group of six best friends visiting Yosemite. Just a 5–10 min drive from restaurants and supermarkets made everything super convenient. Highly recommend!
